By law, all gum produced in East Braintree is fortified with:
- Vitamins B, C, X, and P
- Calcium equivalent to seven glasses of milk
Spruce Gum Tea Production
The other main industry that East Braintree is known for is the production of spruce gum tea. The vast spruce forests to the west of the city supply millions of litres of spruce gum every year which is then distilled, dried, and later made into tea crystals.
The tea can be served hot or iced depending on personal preferences, making it a versatile beverage enjoyed around the world.
